The Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing is looking for a full-time Deputy Head of the Culture & Media Section. You will join a young and dynamic team for a challenging position. As Deputy Head of section, you will be a key player for the management of the various projects of the section and the coordination with the various Swiss representations in China.

Key responsibilities:

The Deputy Head of sectionis in charge of the management and the promotion of the culture projects organized by or in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland. He/she works with a team of 6 persons in an independent way, and also in collaboration with the General Consulates in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Hong Kong, Switzerland Tourism as well as Pro Helvetia and swissnex offices in Shanghai.The Deputy Head of section replaces the Head of section during his/her absences.

Tasks:

·       Define, organize and promote thevarious projects organized by or in collaboration with the section. Find financial resources and manage budgets. Write reports and assure archives are done in a proper way.

·       Support Head of section in the management of Presence Suisse (PRS) budget and projects in China.

·       Support Swiss artists, who are interested in the Chinese market and provide them advises.

·       Contribute to the research of sponsors.

·       Supervise production of communication material and giveaways.

Profile:

·       Swiss Nationality.

·       Excellent spoken and writtenEnglish, French and German. Chinese an asset.

·       University or HES Master degree.

·       Several years of experience in projectmanagement and/or in communication and work with media

·       Interest in politics and goodknowledge of the Swiss culture scene.

·       Ability to work independently,strong organizational & analytical skills, communicative and creative personality,good team player.
